Distant starlight in a young universe

The discussion presented here will be an ongoing one and is not meant to be mathematically rigorous. Never the less, an overview can be gleamed which will help give the Christian who holds to a young universe a reasonable defense. I will say at the start that this work is not based on Dr. Russell Humphreys book entitled "Starlight an Time". I know that the information in that book has been circulating for a while now but the fact of the matter is that the mathematics of his theory just do not hold up. I will say that the fact that Dr. Humphreys theory has failed to hold up actually strengthens the argument I will present.
